If you decide to come on down to The Barbican to enjoy an afternoon tea, we currently sell two types of afternoon tea options. If you’re looking for a traditional afternoon tea, we have homemade fruit and plain scones which are served warm with a strawberry jam with traditional West Country cream served with a Drake blend tea. We promise you won’t be disappointed. Or if you’re looking for something more savoury, we provide two warm Tudor Rose savoury cheese scones with cream cheese and homemade chutney to go on top. Again, it is served with a pot of Drake blend tea to wash it down.
If you’re looking for something more filling in The Barbican, we offer an afternoon tea for two people which comes with a selection of crustless finger sandwiches, a warm fruit or plain scone, strawberry jam clotted cream, a slice of homemade cake and a variety of dainty delights. Not forgetting our Drake blend tea to make it extra English. If that doesn’t take your fancy, we serve a savoury afternoon tea. This comes with a slice of our delicious “New Street Sandwich Cake” with a warm cheese scone, cream cheese and chutney plus an assortment of savoury bites and a pot of Drake blend tea.
Tudor Tea Room makes sure that everyone leaves happy, dogs included! Please feel free to pop in to check our full menu, or to even look around and take in the history of the building.
“What a great place. I did not fancy a Sunday roast so opted for a savoury afternoon tea. What a great thing it was, a taste sensation. Tea was awesome too. I don’t normally drink it but glad I had a pot. Good value, great staff and excellent food.”Drew
